Heart Stealer 14

Hello All,

This truly was a week filled with difficulty in deciding whom to award the Heart Stealer 14 to! There was so much of fantastic work done  by so many people, I had a TOUGH time deciding! The post is delayed by two days as I have literally been on my toes for past 3-4 days! It has been madness but I finally did have a relaxing Sunday :)

So, here are my picks for this week:

The first winner is a (supposed) newbie but she so completely wowed my by the quality of her first creation that now I am truly looking forward to more of her work.......put your hands together for Purvi Verma Saini. Her floral arrangement is such excellent quality work that I am sure she's in the fast lane to fame :)

The second winner for this week is no stranger to the quilling world. With her initiative for organizing the first ever quilling national swap in India, she is also a vastly popular name on Facebook! So, here is my second winner: Gopi Shah! Congratulations Gopi! Your Japanese fan with outstanding adornment knocked the breath out of me the moment I set my eyes on it! Wonderful job!

Winners, please feel free to display the award in your FB page(s) and/or blogs :)

Heart Stealer 13

Hello All,

Friday, the 13th! Bu ha ha ha! :D I have not seen the movies but I know they are damn spooky! Anyway, time for my Heart Stealer award for today. The two winners this time were such obvious ones for me, this has to be the week I struggled the least for awarding!

The first winner is no stranger to most quilling circles. She picks up the most unusual objects and turns them to quilled beauties! This week, she has been knocking me off with her insect series. Trust me, after seeing her work, I've been ogling insect photos for hours at a stretch! I am as it is too fond of arachnids, she is making me drool over them now! :D So, please join your hands for Sheila Burcul, my first Heart Stealer 13 Winner :) Her creation, Quilled adaptation of Giant Ichneumon Wasp, was a hands-down winner rightaway! I love this one Sheila!!!!!

I can almost see the wings flutter and the tiny thing flying away! Very very ingeniously done and perfectly executed! Sheila, you rock!

The second winner picked up a picture that so reminded me of the movie "Up". I couldn't help but take a flight of fantasy to balloon-land when I saw her creation. So, hands together for the second winner this week - Madalina Coupila :)

Fernanda Lozano;s Christmas folks
Anastasia's optical illusion :)
Anastasia's quilled dove
Pramod Jitani's temple

Heart Stealer 12

Hello All,

I apologize for skipping a week but it has been a little loaded with my Venetian mask project nearing completion and yet another donkey-work-intensive project on its way. But here I am, with Heart Stealer Edition 12 :)

It was, once again, a week filled with dilemma. Quilling related to Easter almost flooded the Internet and with spring sneaking in on most people, I saw lots and lots of flowers, birds, berries etc. But my picks for Heart Stealer this week are:

Sarah Yakawonis' May Day project (what perfect text, I couldn't even make out initially that it was quilled!!!) and Radu Nicoleta Andronache's quilled Easter eggs (love that touch of flowers on the eggs, so bright and cheerful)......

Winners, please feel free to grab your Heart Stealer badge :)

Other notable creations this week:

Neha Somani's card with beautiful fringed flowers and buds
A spooky ant and a bunch of happy bunnies by Graça Borges
Camarasan Stefania's lovely flowers and leaves
Some absolutely gorgeous creations by Nupur
The Smurfs by Pratyusha
Ala Yasin's uber-cute Bird Cottage and lovely quilled box
Lekha Justin's oh-so-summery berries and grapes
Indira's Quilled hanging (now, your muesli bottle's lid has never-seen-before uses)

Happy Quilling :)
